This is the test run. Going into a small space can be daunting but I felt very relaxed and we even shared a few jokes!

Although the overall Gamma treatment lasted two hours, there were lots of breaks when the radiographers came in to check I was comfortable and happy.

It was nice to sit up and have a bit of a break between treatments. I could even have had a longer break for a sandwich and a cup of tea it I’d wanted.

I was feeling a little bit tired by the end and the frame did put a bit of pressure on my head which gave me a headache. After the treatment they removed the frame, which didn’t hurt at all, and very soon I felt well enough to go home.
